01. Why does UNFPA offer supply chain services?

UNFPA is dedicated to protecting the rights of women and young people by supporting them to meet their basic sexual and reproductive health needs. This entails making essential supplies available, accessible and affordable. Through its Supply Chain Management Unit (SCMU) based in Copenhagen, UNFPA offers sexual and reproductive health support services to governments, NGOs, UN agencies, and other development partners, enabling them to fulfil the right to survival, health, and development and ultimately achieve  the Sustainable Development Goals.
