06. How are the funds transferred by an external partner recorded and managed by UNFPA

Except for the handling fees, UNFPA does not assume ownership of the funds from external partners. Generally, such funds are treated as trust funds by UNFPA and are held for the sole purpose of executing the procurement services contract established with the external partner.
